DUSHANBE, May 5, Asia-Plus -- A total debt of consumers to the Dushanbe municipal waterworks “ Dushanbe Vodokanal” (DVK) has amounted to 14 million Somonis (equivalent to some US$4.4 million) as of may 1 2006, according to information from the Dushanbe municipal waterworks.
According to the DVK source, the public’s debt has amounted to 5 million Somonis.
Beginning from the next week the Dushanbe municipal waterworks will introduce measures against the most incorrigible nonpayers. “Supply of water to them will be cut off,” the DVK source said.
