DUSHANBE, November 28, Asia-Plus  -- In Dushanbe, a Home of Trust opened its doors to HIV sufferers on November 28.

Sevar Komilova, chairperson of the Guli Surkh Public Association, told Asia-Plus that implementation of that project had become possible due to support of international organization Alliance (the United Kingdom), which had provided $45,000 for the project.

“This House of Trust is for all people living with HIV in Tajikistan,” said Komilova, “They may come here to communicate and associate with each other.  The House of Trust also provides them with free meals.”

She noted that a number of HIV-infected people in Tajikistan now exceeds 1,000.   “Today a number of women living with HIV in remote districts is increasing,” Komilova said.
