DUSHANBE/KULOB, December 19, Asia-Plus -- Tajikistan’s ministries and organizations have provided humanitarian aid to vulnerable people on occasion of the Idi Qurbon holiday.
The ministry of labor and social security on December 19 provided assistance to the Vahdat-based center, which is house for 100 elderly and disabled people. The assistance included 400 kilograms of rice, 100 liters of vegetable oil, as well as 200 bundles of detergent.
Barqi Tojik (Tajik electric systems) power provided assistance to the Kulob boarding school for children with intellectual disabilities. The assistance included food products, clothes and New Year’s presents for a total amount of 10,000 somonis.
Nozirsho Nouraliyev, an aide to the culture minister, told Asia-Plus that the ministry of culture had provided 2,2000 somonis’ worth of assistance to the republican specialized boarding-school in Hissor.
The ministry of agriculture and environmental protection provided assistance to the center for disabled people in Yovon. Building materials worth 3,200 somonis were acquired for renovating the center.
According to Deputy Health Minister Naima Haitboyeva, their ministry has provided assistance to the boarding-school in Khujand.
