DUSHANBE, April 4, Asia-Plus -- Humanitarian aid provided to Tajikistan by Belarus is expected to arrive in Dushanbe today.
According to the Committee for Emergency Situations (CES), Belarus’ IL-76 with two generators, 5,000 blankets and 10,000 cans of tinned meat on board will land in Dushanbe today.
In the meantime, Russia’s news agency Itar-Tass referring to the Belarus Emergencies Ministry reported that the Eurasian Economic Community (EAEC) Secretary General Tair Mansourov had applied to Belarus for humanitarian aid for Tajikistan, which was serious affected by unusually cold weather and severe electricity shortages last winter.
