KHUJAND, December 1, 2008, Asia-Plus -- A roundtable meeting entitled “Social Partnership against Domestic Violence” will be held in the northern city of Isfara tomorrow, Sayfullo Ergashev, acting executive director of the branch of the public association Human Rights Center in Khujand, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
According to him, the meeting aims to consider issues related to gender quality, observance of women’s rights, as well as coordination of activities of the state institutions and public associations to eliminate all forms of discriminations against women.
Representatives of local authorities, local and international public organizations will participate at the meeting, which is organized by the Human Rights Center under support of the OSCE Office in Tajikistan.
