DUSHANBE, September 14, 2009, Asia-Plus -- On occasion of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, a private entrepreneur from Dushanbe has provided humanitarian aid to elderly and disabled people through Tajikistan’s Red Crescent Society (RCS), Sayido Nazarov, a spokesman for the RCS head office in Dushanbe, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
According to him, Vali Mahmadov, the owner of the commercial outlet Vali in Dushanbe, has handed over 60 50-kilogram sacks of wheat flour and 120 liters of vegetable to RCS’s branch in Dushanbe for distribution to disabled and elderly people in the city.
