Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with Turkish energy and natural resources minister Mehmet Hilmi Guler in Ashgabat on 2 September. The sides discussed prospects for increasing cooperation in the energy sphere, the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports quoting the press service of the Turkmen president.
Mehmet Hilmi Guler acknowledged Turkey''s high interest in importing Turkmen energy carriers, namely natural gas. He also expressed interest in projects in the fuel-energy sphere.
"Turkmenistan is open for mutually beneficial cooperation with all countries, first of all with reliable and long-standing friends such as Turkey," Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said in turn.
