Law draft “On amendments to the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On republican budget 2008” was adopted in Kazakh Senate.

Bill allows to realize priority measures on provision of competitiveness and stability of national economy in order to overcome consequences of world crisis. These measures were designed in accordance with President’s tasks set on Government’s extended session on October 13, 2008. They are aimed at macroeconomic stability, social welfare of population and economic modernization.

607.5 billion tenge from National Fund will be allocated to increase a stock capital of “SamrukKazyna” National Welfare Fund.

52 billion tenge will be invested in creation and increase of Stress Assets Fund’s stock capital.

Therefore, total amount of revenues and expenditures of the budget will be specified with increase on 607.5 billion tenge.
