The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, during the regional investment forum in Ust Kamenogorsk said Kazakhstan has managed to mobilize $19 billion for economic stabilization program, the agency reports citing the president''s press service.
"We have managed in difficult conditions to mobilize more than $19 billion for economic stabilization program and this is 14 % of GDP. Owing to this, the economy in II quarter of 2009 received a powerful impulse towards restoration," N. Nazarbayev said.
"I stated the main directions of post crisis development of Kazakhstan at XII congress of Nur Otan. We have defined for ourselves the priority directions of development of the national economy: agricultural and industrial complex, construction industry, metallurgy, oil refining and services, chemistry and pharmaceutics, infrastructure and power," the head of the state noted.
"These branches possess competitive potential."We set a specific goal - to satisfy the internal demand and to export production of these branches. Realizing this program, we will create the new economy, new manufactures, highly paid jobs, and will provide steady development," the President considers.
According to the head of the state, 100 % of 261 billion KZT allocated in 2007 - 2009 has been spent for support of small and medium business. 8037 projects have been financed. 191 billion KZT has been allocated for all regions of Kazakhstan for realization of ''Road Map'' project this year.
According to N. Nazarbayev, the work on increase of Kazakhstan''s share in state purchases has begun. As of today, the national companies, subsoil users, and large enterprises have already conclude 6462 contracts for the sum of more than 537.9 billion KZT.
