DUSHANBE, December 9, 2014, Asia-Plus – Russian president’s press service reported on December 8 that Russian President Vladimir Putin makes an official visit to Uzbekistan on December 10 at the invitation of his Uzbek counterpart Islam Karimov.
The Russian presidential press service says it is expected that the talks at the highest level will address key issues in the continued development of Russian-Uzbek strategic partnership, first and foremost in trade, investment, culture and humanitarian sectors.
The sides will also exchanged views on issues related to regional security and the situation in Afghanistan.
Several bilateral agreements are also expected to be signed following the talks.
We will recall that Putin and Karimov last met in Dushanbe in September.
