Tajik sportsmen win 3rd international karate-do contest held in Tajik capital

rd
international karate-do contest in
Dushanbe
, getting seven golden, nine silver and eight bronze medals.
The competition ended on June 11. According to information from the Tajik Karate-do Federation, sportsmen from
Afghanistan
,
Azerbaijan
,
Belarus
,
Iran
,
Russia
and
Uzbekistan
took part in the contest. Iranian athletes with three golden, one silver and four bronze medals took the second place and karate fighters from the
Russian Federation
with two golden medals were third in the contest.
According to information from
Tajikistan
’s Karate-do Federation, the contest in
Dushanbe
was dedicated to Sato Tetsuo, founder of the Sito-Ryu Karate and it was held in
Tajikistan
for the third time.
