DUSHANBE, March 30, Asia-Plus -- The FIFA (Federation of Football Associations) president Sepp Blatter and the AFC (Asian Football Confederation) president Mohammed Bin Hammam today participated in a ceremonies of official opening of two mini-football fields in Norak and Danghara.
The fields were constructed by Italy’s Mondo under financial support of FIFA as part of the Goal-2 program.
According to Tajikistan’s Football Federation (TFF), a program for development of football in Tajikistan was projected during the first visit of high-ranking officials of international football federations to Tajikistan in 2004.
The source at a TFF said Blatter and Hammam are scheduled to meet with President Emomali Rahmon today afternoon. After the meeting they will give a news conference.
The FIFA and AFC heads arrived in Tajikistan yesterday.
