DUSHANBE, July 12, Asia-plus — Five Tajik athletes are participating in an international kickboxing tournament among Turkic-language and related countries that is opening in Ankara, Turkey, today.
Bobojon Mahmadrasoulov, the president of Tajikistan’s Kickboxing Federation, told Asia-Plus that the tournament that will last for two days has an open status and Tajik kickboxing players will participate in the full-contact category.
According to him, kickboxing is very popular in Tajikistan and its sections now function in Dushanbe, Khorog, Khujand and Qurghon Teppa.
