DUSHANBE, August 14, Asia-Plus -- An International U-13 Tennis Tournament for Tajik President’s Cup will be held in the Tajik capital from August 20-24.
Ibod Sharifi, vice-president of Tajikistan’s Tennis Federation, told Asia-Plus that young tennis players from all Central Asia’s countries, as well Afghanistan and Iran are supposed to take part in the tournament.
“To date, only Iran has not yet confirmed participation of its tennis players in the tournament,” Sharifi said. Noting that the tournament is staged by the Committee for Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism, the National Olympic Committee and Tajikistan’s Tennis federation.
