DUSHANBE, June 24, 216, Asia-Plus – One more Tajik athlete has qualified to take part in the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympic Games.
According to Tajikistan’s National Olympic Committee (NOC), the 23-year-old track and field athlete Davron Ataboyev has earned 2016 Rio Olympics quota spot running the 200-meter dash at the international tournament in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) in 20.5 seconds.
Thus, five Tajik athletes have already earned quota spots through their respective sports'' Olympic qualification processes: track and field athlete Davron Ataboyev; hummer thrower Dilshod Nazarov; boxer Anvar Yunusov; and two judokas Komronshoh Ustopiriyon and Muhammadmurod Abdurahmonov.
