Tajik Minister of Agriculture, Voris Mahmadaminov, remarked speaking at a ceremony of inauguration of the international agriculture exhibition formally titled “Mini Agricultural Machines-2006” that opened in
“Opening of this exhibition is the first step towards supply of mini agricultural machines to our country,” the minister said in his interview with Asia-Plus. This three-day exhibition is aimed at making local farmers better informed of samples of new agricultural machines, according to him.
“The mini agricultural machines put on display in the fairs are affordable for many farmers in the country,” Deputy Agriculture Minister, Bahrom Abduhalimov, said in his interview with Asia-Plus. “For example, prices of mini tractors displayed in the exhibition fluctuate from US$2,500 to US$6,000 depending on the country of production,” said Mr. Abduhalimov, “Farmers showing good productive indices can afford, in our opinion, to buy such machines.”
