DUSHANBE , February 16, Asia-Plus - Energy ministers from Tajikistan , Iran and Afghanistan will hold a tripartite meeting in Dushanbe .

According to information from the Tajik MFA, Iranian Energy Minister Said Parviz Fattah and Afghan Energy and Water Resources Muhammad Ismail Khan arrived in Dushanbe on Sunday [February 19]. 

Today morning, they attended the groundbreaking ceremony for Sangtuda-2 hydropower plant in southern Tajikistan  

A tripartite meeting of energy ministers from Tajikistan , Afghanistan and Iran will be held in Dushanbe today evening, at 6:40 p.m. , according to the source.  According to the source, the energy ministers from the three countries are supposed to discuss state and prospects of tripartite cooperation in the area of energy.  The construction of the power-transmission line from Tajikistan via Afghanistan to Iran is expected to top the meeting’s agenda.
