The conference participants include representatives from the president’s office, heads of media and lawyers.
Mahmud Sarayev, chief specialist with the information-analytical department of the President’s Executive Office, in particular, introduced motions on changes and addenda to the RT Law “On the Press and Other Media”. “For example, I consider expedient to introduce an article on main notions to the country’s media legislation, which would interpret the main notions used in the media law,” Mr. Sarayev said.
Besides, the conference is also considering changes and addenda made to the RT laws “On TV and Radio-broadcasting”, “On Advertisement”, “On Economic Support for District (City) Newspapers, District (City) TV and Radio Organizations”.
Each of presented bills is accompanied with legal resolution by independent lawyer from Kazakhstan Sergey Utkin.
