DUSHANBE, April 10, Asia-Plus -- “At present activity of Tajikistan’s Social-Democratic Party is equal of activity of illegal political party,” Rahamtillo Zoirov, head of the Social-Democratic Party of Tajikistan (SDPT), remarked at a meeting with journalists in Dushanbe on April 7.
According to him, the country’s special service are discriminating against his party.
“This discrimination policy is used not only against the party members but also against those who just apply to me for legal advice,” said Mr. Zoirov, “An officer from the Ministry has told me that they (Security Minister officers – Asia-Plus) have received order to inspect activity of our party in connection with the upcoming presidential election in the country due for November this year.”
