DUSHANBE , April 18, Asia-Plus - Trade organizations with all forms of ownership and individuals have realized goods worth a total of 625.6 million Somonis (equivalent to US$195.89 million) in January-March this year, according to information from the State Committee for Statistics.

According to figures provided by the Committee, compared to the first quarter of 2005  retail commodity turnover through all sales channels in comparable prices has increased by 9.8 percent.  

The overall volume of retail commodity turnover on markets and other commercial structures over the same three-month period has amounted to 611.2 million Somonis.  Over the first three months of the year, the proportion of foodstuffs in the overall volume of goods has been 50.8 percent and the proportion of non-foodstuffs has been 49.2 percent respectively. 

Of the overall of retail commodity turnover for January-March this year there has been an average of 90.4 Somonis per one country resident.
