DUSHANBE , April 18, Asia-Plus - On Monday April 17, visiting Commander of Russia’s Volga-Ural Military District, Army General Vladimir Boldarev, met in Dushanbe with Tajik Defense Minister, Colonel-General Sherali Khairulloyev. 

According to information from the Defense Ministry press service, their talks focused on military and military-technical cooperation between Tajikistan and Russia .  

The source says Russian flag officer arrived in Tajikistan to inspect fighting efficiency of Russian military base stationed in the republic.  He is observing control drill that started yesterday.  

The main purpose of the drill is in summing up the results of the winter training and checking fighting efficiency of the base’s personnel.  

General Boldarev has arrived in Tajikistan for a weeklong working visit.
