DUSHANBE, April 19, Asia-Plus - Russian closed joint-stock company (CJSC) “Almaz-Holding” intends to open its chain of shops in Tajikistan on selling wares of Tajik and Russian jewelers, Industries Minister Zayd Saidov announced at a news conference in Dushanbe on Tuesday [April 18].

At the same time, Mr. Saidov noted that the company would launch the chain of shops only after production of jewelries resumed in
“Proposals on resumption of jewelry production in the republic has already submitted for consideration to the government,” the ministers said.
Experts from the Industries Ministry point to the necessity of uniting all jewelers in the republic and resuming the production, as well as drumming up foreign investments in that sector.
