DUSHANBE, May 15, Asia-Plus -- Senior representatives from railways of the CIS states, Latvia, Mongolia and Vietnam will gather in Dushanbe to attend a meeting at the Tajik Railways in Dushanbe on May 16-19.   

“The meeting was staged by the Organization of Commonwealth of Railways,” said the Tajik Railways source, “At present the Organization has two tariff systems and the main issue of the meeting will be unification of these two tariff systems.”    

The Organization of Commonwealth of Railways is the international organization established on June 28 1956.  The main priorities and directions of the Organization activities are establishment of cooperation between railways between states of Europe and Asia as well as seeking solution to problems connected with transport policy, legal and environmental protection aspects of rail transport, and formation of common principles of international transportation law.
