DUSHANBE , May 17, Asia-Plus - Tajikistan has submitted for consideration of Arab investment funds 29 investment projects for a total mount of US$961.4 million.  

 According to information from the Ministry of Economy and Trade, these projects drafted almost by all ministries and organizations of the country wee submitted for consideration of potential investors at a two-day round table meeting that was held in Dushanbe on May 15-16.  

The Tajik side, in particular, submitted for consideration to representatives from the Islamic Development bank (IDB), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Kuwaiti and Saudi Development Funds, as well as OPEC the project aimed at the construction of the railway Vahdat-Vakhsh costing US$140.2 million.  This project has been worked out by Tajikistan ’s Ministry of Transport.  

Besides, Tajikistan submitted for consideration the project for rehabilitation of the Dushanbe isolation hospital worked out by the Ministry of Health.  The estimated budget for the rehabilitation of the hospital is US$26 million.  

The Education Ministry submitted for consideration the project aimed at the completion of construction of 13 schools in Tajikistan .  The project costs US$25 million.  

Participants at the roundtable meeting also considered many other investment projects aimed at enhancement of education, agrarian, energy and transport sectors of the country.
