DUSHANBE, July 6, Asia-Plus - Issues related to working out regional business for studying obstacles on the way of development of entrepreneurship, trade and economy in Central Asia where discussed in Dushanbe Wednesday [July 5] at a meeting of Sharif Saidov, the head of Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) with visiting representative from US “Abt Associates Inc” (Washington, Columbia State), Mr. Christopher Reynolds (phonetically spelled).  

According to information from CCI, the project will target Kazakhstan , Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan

The CCI source says tat during the meeting the CCI head briefed Mr. Reynolds on development of economy, small and medium-sized businesses, legal foundation for development of entrepreneurship and investment policy in Tajikistan.  

The meeting also focused on priorities and main directions of development of Tajikistan ’s economy.  The two also discussed those sectors of Tajik economy that had urgent needs in investments.  Among these sectors, the sides named energy, mining, telecommunications, chemical industry, commercial and banking systems, processing of precious metals and stones, healthcare, education, and tourism infrastructure. 

Saidov and Reynolds also touched upon the issue of training of personnel for Tajik small and medium-sized businesses, according to the source.
