DUSAHNBE, August 30, Asia-Plus -- Dushanbe police confiscated a large amount of drugs from a resident of the Hamadoni district in the center of the capital city yesterday.
According to information from the Ministry of Interior (MoI), the drugs were hidden in a car of Nurikhon Rasulov, native of the Hamadoni district currently living in Dushanbe. More than 23 kilograms of raw opium and 5.5 kilograms of heroin were extracted from the hide, according the source.
Another large amount of drugs, including 8.5 kilograms of heroin and 850 grams of cannabis, was seized in one operation in the northern city of Khujand last Saturday, according to the source.
