DUSHANBE, September 15, Asia-Plus - Tajikistan’s Party of Economic Reforms will hold its second congress in Dushanbe on September 17.
According to information from the party managing board, the congress will nominate a candidate to run in the upcoming presidential election due in November this year. The congress delegates also will discuss an election platform of the candidate and endorse a plan of actions to prepare and carry out the election campaign.
“Besides, the congress will hear a report by the party leader Olimjon Boboyev on the political and economic situation in Tajikistan and adopt an appropriate resolution on this report,” said the Asia-Plus interlocutor, “The congress delegates will also elect the party’s central committee.”
As it had been reported earlier, the Party of Economic Reforms was registered with the Ministry of Justice in November last year. The head of the Party of Economic Reforms, Olimjon Boboyev, says his party’s aims are to reduce poverty, conduct proper privatization, and attract foreign investments.
