DUSHANBE, September 27, Asia-Plus - Dushanbe printing house “Anjumani Divashtich” has published a book entitled “BBC: Past and Present” by known Tajik journalist and lecturer at Tajik National University Jovid Muqim.
The book tells history of the establishment of BBC, its role on international information arena, goals and objectives of BBC, coverage of events by it and its relations with the Tajik press, which, according to the author, uses not a few materials of BBC.
In his preface to the book, Professor Ibrohim Usmonov writes, “Access of audience to information is needed for world’s seeing the situation such as informer wants to see it. Proceedings from this, Muqim considers that the BBC correspondents support this position and cover processes in Tajikistan proceeding from these criteria.”
Jovid Muqim is one of Tajik researchers studying activity of foreign media in Tajikistan. He has a series of publications on this subject.
