DUSHANBE, December 15, Asia-Plus - A conference formally titled “Labor Migration: HIV/AIDS and Human Rights” opened in Dushanbe today morning.
According to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Mission in Tajikistan, the main objective of the conference is to project a resolution on further work on issues related to Tajik labor migrants, preventing spread of HIV/AIDS among them, as well as work with labor migrants, who are also considered in the high-risk group.
Deputy Prime Minister, Khairnisso Mavlonova, senior representatives from the ministries of labor and interior, as well as representatives from international organizations and NGOs dealing with these issues are taking part at the conference.
