DUSHANBE, February 19, Asia-Plus -- Tajik MFA presented new version of its website www.mfa.tj Monday afternoon.
Speaking to journalists, Igor Sattorov, the head of the MFA Information Department, said that the previous version launched in 2005 had not met requirements of the time and the website’s design had also needed improvement.
“Information posted on the new website will be updated regularly,” said Sattorov, “We have also posted on the new website bio data of the minister, deputy ministers as well as information about the ministry’s departments with their telephone numbers and e-mails.”
Besides, the new version of the ministry’s website contains detailed information about legislative documents on domestic and foreign policy of Tajikistan, about Tajikistan’s diplomatic missions abroad, according to the information department head.
“We will also post information about upcoming working meetings of the minister and his deputies on the website,” Sattorov said.
He added that journalists and all those interested now may receive information about the upcoming visits and meetings at the end of each week. “For this, we will post announcements on our website,” the MFA official said.
The website will also contain information about travel requirements and forms of documents needed for entering Tajikistan and accreditation of foreign journalists.
“Not only the information department but also other sub-divisions of the ministry will update information posted on the MFA website,” Sattorov said.
