DUSHANBE, March 14, Asia-Plus -- Capital mayor yesterday passed a resolution obligating to set up a tender commission and fix dates of announcement and holding of tenders for selection of general contractors for construction of facilities in 2007.  

Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said that the tender commission will deal with selecting general contractors for the facilities, construction of which is funded from the city budget.  

Besides, by mayor’s resolution the Dushanbe construction directorate is to project necessary documents for holding tenders and submit them to the tender commission, as well as provide transparency of the holding of tenders and create all necessary conditions for work of the commission.    

“The capital construction directorate is also to provide participation of the majority of bidders in tenders and conclude contracts with winners by the dates fixed,’ the spokesman said.
