DUSHANBE, April 2, Asia-Plus -- Tajik police have stopped an attempt by drug trafficker to smuggle six kilograms of heroin into Khujand.
According to the Ministry of Interior (MoI), a 49-year-old woman from Khujand, the capital of the Sughd province, Mutabar Saidmurodova, was arrested by officers from the Sughd police directorate on April 1 on suspicion of having been involved in drug trafficking.
The source at a MoI said that more than six kilograms of heroin were confiscated from her. Investigation is under way.
