DUSHANBE, June 11, Asia-Plus -- Officers from the counternarcotics agency have discovered a drug cache containing more than 10 kilos of drugs in the Farkhor district.
Avaz Yuldoshev, a spokesman for the Drug Control Agency (DCA), told Asia-Plus that their officers discovered the drug cache near the border jamoat of Urtabuz in the Farkhor district, Khatlon, late Sunday.
44 kilograms of raw opium and some 63 kilograms of marijuana were extracted from the hide, according to him.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted and an investigation is under way.
