DUSHANBE, July 24, Asia-Plus -- Another news agency ha been registered in Tajikistan – Simonews ( www.simonews.tj ).
Mirzosaid Sultonov, founder and director of Simonews, told Asia-plus that his news agency was registered with the Ministry of Culture (MoC) on June 12, 2007.
The registration of Simonews brings to nine the number of news agencies operating in the country.
According to Sultonov, Simonews will produce daily news on political, economic, and cultural events in Tajikistan. “At present we are publishing news only in English but in the near future, we will also open Tajik and Russian newslines,” the Simonews director said.
Simonews is the private news agency.
