DUSHANBE, July 30, Asia-Plus -- The Government of Turkey intends to unilaterally lift the visa regime for Tajikistan.
The source at the Turkish embassy in Dushanbe told Asia-Plus that the resolution on lifting the visa regime will also apply on citizens of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Mongolia.
In the meantime, according to some Russia media, the visa-free regime will apply only on those who will travel to turkey for period of not less than 30 days.
According to these news agencies, Turkey’s Government has already unilaterally canceled the visa regime for a number of Turkic-speaking nations and an appropriate resolution on this subject was published in Turkey’s Official Newspaper on April 29.
The mentioned news agencies noted that the visa-regime is already effective for citizens of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
