DUSHANBE, August 6, Asia-Plus — A seminar formally entitled “Optimization of Work of Inter-Agency Commission for Regulation Migration Processes” was held at Grand-Asia Hotel in Dushanbe today.
The seminar, staged by the Tajik Government in Cooperation with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) mission to Tajikistan, brought together representatives from president’s office, Tajik ministries and organizations being members of the inter-agency commission for regulation of the migration processes, as well national experts and representatives from international organizations.
Ms Gulchehra Huseinova, an officer with IOM Mission in Tajikistan, told Asia-Plus that the seminar had discussed issues related to resumption of activity of the Inter-Agency Commission for Regulation Migration Processes.
According to her, an July 3 consultative meeting of the Tajik Government and the IOM Mission discussed ways to resume activity of the inter-agency commission and enlisting the services of relevant ministries and organizations. “Besides, the sides at an July 3 meeting also made a decision to consider a draft provisions on the inter-agency commission and making changes to its membership” Ms. Huseinova said.
