DUSHANBE, September 6, Asia-Plus — Tajik power holding Barqi Tojik (Tajik electric systems) has signed an agreement with China’s Chint, private company producing electronic equipment, on purchasing 160,000 electricity meters for Dushanbe.
Nozir Yodgori, a spokesman for the Tajik power holding, said that new electricity meters will allow preventing stealing electricity.
Installation of new electricity meters will start in January and they will be installed free of charge, the spokesman said.
