DUSHANBE, November 5, Asia-Plus -- The first Tajik-language keyboard has appeared in Tajikistan, Asia-Plus has learned from Bahor Irkayev, academic adviser to Tajikistan’s Engineering Academy.
According to him, the keyboard has been produced in China by request of the Tajik limited liability company Rush Multimedia.
The keyboard uses three languages – Tajik, English and Russia. “The keyboard is supported by operating system Windows Vista,” said the academic adviser, “To make the keyboard operational in Windows XP it is necessary to install a special keyboard driver, which is available in the Ministry of Transport and Communications.”
Irkayev further added that with support of AgroInvestBonk Rush Multimedia last year issued a set of self-learning CDs in the Tajik language on five directions of computer technologies. “We have to date prepared for replicating two other self-learning CDs in the Tajik language -- work with Internet Explorer and basics of programming in Delphi 2005,”
We will recall that standard of placing Tajik letters on the computer keyboard was adopted in 2004.
