DUSHANBE, January 28, Asia-Plus -- Newly appointed Deputy Prime Minister, Ms. Ruqiya Qurbonova, today introduced New Health Minister Nusratullo Salimov to the ministry’s staffers, press service of the Ministry of Health (MoH) said.
After that, the new minister held a meeting with participation of members of the ministry board. The meeting focused on ways of removing shortcomings existing in the country’s health sector and improving food supplies to hospitals.
Speaking at the meeting, the minister pointed to the necessity of setting up farms run by the ministry that would facilitate improvement of meals for patients
We will recall that Nustratullo Salimov, formerly first deputy health minister, was appointed health minister, replacing Ranokhon Abdurahmonova, on January 26, 2008. Ms. Ranokhon Abdurahmonova had served as health minister since December 1, 2006.
