DUSHANBE, February 6, Asia-Plus -- An international conference has been held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan to discuss issues related to raising rationality of use of water resources in the Central Asian region.
According to the Ministry of Land Reclamation and Water Resources (MLRWR), the conference participants included representatives from Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
Tajik delegation has consisted of senior representatives from a MLRWR, Association of Water Users and large farming units, the MLRWR source said.
The conference, in particular, considered ways of improving mechanisms of use of land and water resources and enhancement of the agrarian sector in the Central Asian region.
