DUSHANBE, March 3, Asia-Plus -- Over the first two months of this year, 68 bodies of Tajik labor migrants have been returned to their homeland from Russia, Asia-Plus has learned from Shodmonbek Rajabov, the chief of staff of the Tajik transportation police.
According to him, twenty-eight of them died of illness, thirteen were killed, nineteen were killed in accidents, three were killed in traffic accidents, and the cause of death was unknown in five cases.
We will recall that as of November 21, 2007, 322 coffins bearing Tajik citizens had returned to Tajikistan from the Russian Federation. The listed causes of death were murder (61), disease (129), accident (55), traffic accident (74), and unknown (3).
