KHUJAND, May 7, Asia-Plus -- 31 students and post-graduate students at Khujand-based higher educational institutions have been selected as holders for grants established by the Sughd governor.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Faridoun Hodiboyev, an official with the Sughd directorate for youth, sports and tourism affairs, the governor’s grant fellows were competitively selected from among 60 local students and post-graduate students.
The governor’s grant for students is set at 35 somonis and for post-graduate students at 40 somonis. A ceremony of handing over the governor’s grants will be held in Khujand on May 17.
