DUSHANBE, June 16, Asia-Plus -- The antidrug operation, dubbed Poppy-2008, is under way in the country.
On Sunday June 15, officers from the Sughd counternarcotics directorate discovered and destroyed hemp plantations on an area of 0.8 hectare, totaling 6,400 bushes, in the territory of the Collective Farm named after Urunkhojayev in Sughd’s Bobojonghafurov district, press service of the Drug Control Agency (DCA) said.
