DUSHANBE, June 17, Asia-Plus -- The mass grain-harvesting campaign is progressing in Tajikistan.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA), 32,582 tons of cereals, including 31,328 tons of wheat, have been gathered by June 16, which is 15,672 tons more than in the same period of last year.
The source at a MoA noted that grain yields were 2.02 tons per hectare.
This year, Tajik farmers have planted cereals on an area of 227,536 hectares. More than 160 combine harvesters are currently working in the fields.
