DUSHANBE, July 10, 2008, Asia-Plus -- Prospects of cooperation between the Afghan Ministry of Interior and the Tajik Drug Control Agency (DCA) were discussed at a meeting of the Afghan Minister of Interior Zarar Ahmad Moqbil with the first Deputy Director of the Tajik Drug Control Agency Vaysiddin Azamatov here on July 9, according to the DCA press service.
In the course of the talks, the Tajik drug control official briefed the Afghan minister on the present drug situation in Tajikistan and measures taken by the Tajik government to raise efficiency of activity of the law enforcement agencies to fight drug trafficking.
During the meeting, the sides also discussed ways of further expansion of cooperation in fighting the illicit drug trafficking.
