DUSHANBE, September 10, 2008, Asia-Plus -- A joint three-day military exercise for power-wielding structures of Tajikistan and Russia, dubbed Center-2008, was launched at the training ground Momirak in the southern Khatlon province today.
According to the Ministry of Interior (MoI), the main objective of the drill that involves some 1,500 military personnel and 300 armored personnel carriers and tanks as well as aviation, is to rehears cooperation and interaction in combating international terrorism.
The drill runs through September 12.
