DUSHANBE, May 17, 2010, Asia-Plus -- President Emomali Rahmon today met here with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan. State and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation was the focus of the meeting.
Speaking to reporters after a meeting with Rahmon, the UAE foreign minister noted that his country was Tajikistan’s largest trading partner among the Arab countries.
Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan also noted that bilateral cooperation between the UAE and Tajikistan had good potential and he would discuss issues related to further expansion of cooperation between the two countries with his Tajik counterpart, Hamrokhon Zarifi.
According to the Tajik MFA information department, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan arrived in Dushanbe today morning on an official visit During his stay in Dushanbe, he is also scheduled to hold talks with the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) Shukurjon Zuhurov.
Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan will also attend the 37th two-day Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Member States that is opening here tomorrow.
