Yesterday, May 28, Head of the Tajik Migration Service’s Office in Russia Asror Odinaev met with Head of the Department of the Russian Federal Migration Service for Kemerovo district Eugeny Osipchuk.
As reported by the Tajik Migration Service, the sides talked about the activity of migration services of the two countries and discussed most urgent problems Tajik labor migrants face in the district. Top migration officials have also discussed further joint efforts on legal procedures for labor migrants.
Mr.Osipchuk said that regional department of the Russian Federal Migration Service is planning to open a single migration center which will allow labor migrants obtain related documents, job permission, medical certificate and other documents.
Mr.Odinaev supported the idea and noted that the center will simplify legal procedures for labor migrants and protect migrants from abusive behavior of some mediatory organizations.
“That is why we are ready for mutual work in this direction and use capacities of the Tajikhorijakor,” he said.
According to the source, the same day Mr.Odinaev visited Kemerovo State Agricultural Institute where there are more than 40 Tajik students.
Tajik migration official urged Tajik students to learn hard and use their knowledge and experience for the welfare of their motherland in the future.
Mr.Odinaev also visited the construction site of “Uchastie” (Participation) Co Ltd to monitor labor conditions of nearly 40 labor migrants from Tajikistan who are involved in the construction of this medical facility.
Additionally, in the course of his trip to Kemerovo district Mr.Odinaev met with the activists from “Avicenna” culture center, which is headed by Oshurbek Mastokov. The sides discussed joint efforts on protection of the rights and interests of Tajik labor migrants, improvement of their knowledge of Russian language and preservation of customs and traditions of migrants who live and work in this region.
