DUSHANBE, May 11, 2011, Asia-Plus -- The Tax Committee under the Government of Tajikistan notes that many entities registered under the “One-stop-shop” (OSS) principle that was introduced in Tajikistan in July 2009 are breaking the country’s tax code.

“Following an order by the Tax Committee head Nusratullo Davlatov a working group has been set up and it has revealed numerous instances of violation of the tax code by these entities,” the source said.

According to him, inspections by the working group have revealed 88 legal entities that broke the tax code.  During the registration process, these entities reportedly gave wrong addresses or changed their addresses without notifying tax inspectorates in order to evade paying taxes.  “Among these enterprises are limited liability companies Simurghi Purfayz, Subhi Noz, Kayonoush, Khutalon and many others,” the source said, noting that some enterprises have not submitted their reports to the tax inspectorates.

“Some enterprises, including limited liability companies Odinai Majid, Mehnatparast, Khizmat Turizm (tourism services), and the branch of the Tromagida Textile Automatic ve Insaat (phonetically spelled) Company, have delayed their reports for six months,” the source said.

If these companies do not remove tax code violations in their activities soon, the Tax Committee will apply to court for liquidation of them, he added.
