DUSHANBE, June 15, 2011, Asia-Plus - On Tuesday Tajik Minister of Finance Safarali Najmiddinov met with representatives of the International Monetary Fund’s mission headed by Todd Schneider to discuss financial and credit issues and post-crisis measures implemented by Tajikistan.
According to Tajik Ministry of Finance, the meting was held in constructive atmosphere and the sides have shared their views on pressing issues and problems in financial and credit sphere and talked about post-crisis measures undertaken by the republic.
According to the source, special attention was given to tax policy, current condition and forecasts for Tajikistan’s external debt and opportunities for introduction of a common treasury system and mutual relations with other international financial organizations and banks.
In the frameworks of implementation of IMF’s Program, Mr. Schneider shared his views on forecasted control indexes of macroeconomic and fiscal policy.
Tajik Minister of Finance has outlined a significant progress that has been achieved in cooperation with IMF in terms of implementation of financial reforms.
He expressed his confidence that cooperation with IMF will develop further and will be expanded on constructive basis.
